On Monday I get to have a go in the new Tesla P85D! I've only ever driven one thing that's slightly faster on paper, but it had two wheels and more power than the average Civic so I expect this will be quite the experience.

Make sure you get a clear run from a full stop... that's when it's the most impressive!

There is a perfect on ramp (with a stop light) right near the showroom, I plan to give it a bootfull from there. The traction control (at least on the other Tesla I drove) is basically always-on launch control.

These things are insanely quick. Make sure the acceleration mode is set to "Insane" before you set off.

It's pretty fast; though in my opinion not too much faster than a standard P85

I got to drive one this week. The acceleration caught me off guard. I won't try to hype it up too much, I'll let you experience it for yourself.

" I expect this will be quite the experience"

Co-worker is about to trade his current S for a P85D. He's driven the tar out of his current S model and Tesla is really interested in using it as an example for their pre-owned certified line they want to pimp. I think he's arguing with them over numbers at this point.
